What is Global Catering Equipment Ltd?
Established in 1995, Global catering UK (Birmingham) Ltd is the UK’s largest supplier of second hand, reconditioned, and B Grade commercial catering equipment. Over the past seventeen years, we have had the pleasure of working with a wide variety of customers, and have supplied equipment for all sorts of establishments across the UK, and Europe, All of our equipment is thoroughly cleaned and tested at our warehouse before it is sold.
How does Global Catering Equipment Ltd recondition equipment?
All equipment procured by Global Catering is thoroughly assessed when it arrives at the warehouse. Following an initial assessment, the equipment is serviced and any faulty parts replaced, tested, and deep cleaned.
Where does Global Catering’s stock come from?
Our equipment is sourced from several places. We have built positive relationships with a number of UK manufacturers over the last seventeen years, from whom we procure our B Grade and ex display equipment. We also purchase equipment from businesses and organisations such as schools who are upgrading, relocating, or closing.
Can I view the equipment before I buy?
Yes. , you can visit us. We are based on the 90 Stratford road in Birmingham and are open Monday to Saturday, 9.30 until 7.30
How can I pay?
We accept all major debit and credit cards. We also accept cash, cheques and bank transfers. We collect 50% of the payment upon order, and the final amount prior to delivery.
Why buy second hand equipment instead of buying new?
There are many advantages to purchasing second hand and reconditioned equipment instead of brand new products. Using a reputable second hand supplier will not only guarantee that the equipment is of high quality, but will also save you money. We estimate that our products are up to 60% cheaper than buying brand new.
What is B Grade equipment?
B Grade is the term used for brand new, unused equipment returned to the manufacturer due to cancelled orders, minor delivery damages, and defaulted payments.
Can you offer advice for kitchen designs and refits?
In a nutshell, yes. While we don’t have a dedicated design team, we have worked with a number of customers over the years, providing specialist advice and transforming spaces into fully functional commercial kitchens. We have also worked on kitchen refits, and installed a large number of walk-in fridges and freezers.
Do you provide a warranty?
All equipment purchased from Global Catering comes with a 3 month full labour and parts warranty.
Can I have my products delivered?
Yes. We offer a delivery service with prices starting at as little as £65. We aim to dispatch all orders within 24 hours.
Can I lease the equipment?
Yes we work closely with leasing companies where you can pay for your equipment, either a single item or a full refit, and at the end of the term you own the equipment, this can be spread over 1-5 years.
